Project challenges

  • Maintaining the operation of the wastewater treatment plant at all times
  • Work on the oxygenation ditches and decanters could only be carried out on one structure at a time. A ditch could only be shut down when the flow rate was below 17,000 m3 and therefore could not take place during the snowmelt period
  • Installation and operation of a temporary dewatering unit
  • Design, layout and construction of the foundation and structure for installation of centrifuges
  • Neighboring construction site
  • Start-up of the complete sludge dewatering train

Delivered with CWA Process Engineering

The replacement of the treatment equipment, the sludge dewatering train and its start-up were delivered with CWA Process Engineering, a Groupe ALLEN division. Working inside a plant that stays in operation, on structures that could only be taken out of service one season at a time, is precisely where that expertise applies.
